Dont´t hate me because the beach is beautiful!!

riding into the sun......

shoot we rode for 12 hours yesterdayin the heat and the bugs, it almost killed us. We had to make up a days riding after sitting in guaymas for a day trying to get one of the bikes working. we camped out side of Guymas and took off early in the morning, the only food i've had in mexico is tacos, tacos, tacos... there great, really great!!!! but i gotta find some other foods to eat that won't kill my budget. we have found that everything down here cost about the same as in the states the food the lodging its all about the same, we also spent a fortune on toll roads yesterday, there really killing us we have to stay off them now which means longer rides through little towns. Also these free roads are crazy, its amazing and scary as hell to turn a 2 laned road into a 4 or 5 laned road going 65mph, but we can't afford to pay 10$ each every 10 miles that we travel. were in Mazatlan today were going to explore this city, get some beach time in and do some serious resting after yesterdays marathon ride. I apreciate all your support in this adventure, continue checking out our links there are some really great sites posted(right side of page) and it helps so much thank you.

MEXICO, MEXICO,MEXICO!!!!!!!!!!

We have made it south of the boarder, and it is crazy hot!!! after traveling over 1000 miles on our tusty steeds we have finally arrived. we stoped our first night at the best hot springs in Utah, meadow hot springs, we rode through a rainstorm and decided to stop and warm up before camping for the night. I highly recomending taking an eveniong and driving down to these springs. we drove from there to page Az which was such a pretty drive, we were able to stay that night At our buddy T's house which turned out to be fantastic because his parent had a mobile home for us to stay in after a horrible night of sleep the night before, just as we were pulling into T's parents house shawny hit sand in there driveway and wipeed out on his bike it actually was hilarious he since has wiped out another time here in mexico and has droped his bike a few other times all his turn signals are now taped on as a resolt, Alicia has dropped her bike so many time I have stoped counting, none of these have been speed wreck mostly just standing there and tipping over its quite funny when it happens. northern mexico is so hot and dry were racing to the coast as i write to hit the ocean i'm almost sure alicia will probably just ride her bike into the ocean to avoid dropping here bike again ha ha ha, guyamas here we come!!!!!!!!!ps hit those adds gas is killing us!!!!!!

Guatemala here we come

Last fall a group of my friends and i decided to ride our bikes(Peddle bikes) to Guatemala just as soon as we returned from our climbing trip to Thailand, but we ran into a few snags. I(David T.) broke my foot, my married friends got a great promotion at work, and we found out that Shawny didn't know how to ride a bike, but that's not stopping the trip were just compromising(upgrading) a little.

during our trip to Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia we all came to the conclusions that we were idiots for not buying motorcycles or scooters when we had first arrived, we would rent scooters in most the areas we passed through and found it to be the absolute best way to travel we dubbed it "pure freedom." After one of these freedom rides through the mountains of Laos we came up with the solution to all our snags on our Guatemala trip, we were going to buy motorcycles to travel to Guatemala. Right around the same time I recieved an email from my lil sis, La La(Alicia) explaining that she still wanted the Guatemala trip to go through and that we should do it on scooters, i don't really fit that well on scooters so we bumpoed the idea up to full fledged motorcyles, and became instant Bad Ass's!

So here we are on the eve or eve's eve(Who really knows) of our great motorcycle ride down south, shawnys on the balcony tearing apart the carburetors to his 1982 beauty, La La's trying to scrap money together by painting up at my parents house and I'm perfecting the art of relaxing, cause i have been a loose cannon for the last couple week, stressing over details, broken motorcycles and missed deadlines. there is one thing that we all have in common though were all mentally ready to get out of this freezing cold state and hit the open highway to Mexico.
